“Modern Painting” Workshop with
Nancy Colella
All Mediums Welcome!
Saturday, September 28, 2023 from 9:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
The Reynolds TLC, 390 Washington St., Dedham Square
Please join Nancy Colella for this Dedham Art Association workshop. This fun class is designed for experienced artists working in any medium, who want to explore ways to create more modern, bold, and expressive artwork by taking a less representational approach. You’ll explore ways to employ one of the elements of painting; line, value, color, shape, and texture to express an unexpected idea or statement. There will be a short presentation, followed by simple exercises. This is a place to explore and experiment with fellow artists rather than a “how to paint” class. We’ll be working independently (using materials of your choice) from still life and/or photos. There will be a critique at the end of the workshop.
The suggested materials list to be sent upon registration.
Questions: contact Naomi Wilsey at 617-513-5499.
Strictly limited to the first 12 to sign up. You are confirmed when the fee is received.
