JoAnne Rose is an award winning photographer/artist who specializes in event and fine art photography. She has exhibited her work throughout the Boston area for many years and is honored to have had two pieces “Clouds Water Paint” (2010) and “Vertical Reflection” (2017) featured at the silent art auction at the Museum of Fine Arts,
Boston.
She is known for her “eye” in photography where the precise moment of an image is captured.
Her photography and art trainings are as follows: The New England Institute of Art, New England School of Photography, and Boston University School of Fine Art where she studied oil painting.
JoAnne Rose’s art association memberships include: South Boston Art Association, Watertown Art Association, Allston Art Association, and Dedham Art Association.
Her professional photography experience includes the development, design, and teaching of a photography class in a Boston after school program.
She photographed for The Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, and The Boston Marathon. A national photography company recognized her as one of the top twenty fifth portrait photographers. Youth sports and events are her present positions.
As a child, she was an avid award winning dancer and competed in Boston. A fun fact is as a young child she oil painted da Vinci’s Last Supper. Shortly after, her father gave her a camera as a gift, and she was ecstatic. Her first photographic subject matter was the Washington Monument.
For JoAnne Rose Foley, photography has been a lifelong passion.
